Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” Hosea 6:3
Application
This scripture encourages us to press on to know the Lord. In the writing of today I may go a little bit deeper than usual. Just fasten your seat belt. Not too deep though. I don’t want to scare you away.
Do you know the Lord personally? How about this? Does the Lord know you by name?
One of the things that has deeply shaped my Christian journey in the last few years has been knowing the Lord deeply and personally. It is the major reason why I am able to write blogs publicly like this, write books, host a regular show on Facebook YouTube and Instagram called Jesus Is Too Real, pray for the sick, prophesy with accuracy and all other things.
Knowing the Lord deeply and personally and knowing that He knew me took my boldness through the roof. I am not talking about just experience at conversion. This knowing is a result of pressing into God in fasting, prayers, and reading, meditating on the word and applying it.
Do you know the Lord can speak to you audibly? Do you know that He knows every cloth in your closet? I am not writing this piece to tell you of my experiences with the Lord. It would take a book to do that.
This writing is to encourage you to press on to know God. It gives confidence and stability that can never be found anywhere else in the midst of storms. Your flesh would resist but press on. It would cost you putting Him first as priority in everything, even your food, but it’s totally worth it.
