How To Do The Impossible With Ease

“So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord has just healed a paralytic man of 38 years. The Jewish leaders were indignant because the healing occurred on the sabbath. They deemed this as work, and believe this is violating the law of the sabbath. The Lord explained to them that in fact, the Father hadn’t stopped working so also the Son. Then He went ahead to make the statements in the focus verses.

These scripture verses provide in unmistakable terms the secret to the success of our Lord’s ministry. It is the secret to achieving the impossible with ease. He mentioned that his healing of the paralytic man was because the Father showed Him what to do and how to do it. He even said that He would show Him greater works than this. He said the Son does nothing except at the Father’s direction. 

This is a template for you. The secret to your success in life and ministry, commanding the attention of the world would hinge on the Father showing you what others’ don’t see, telling you what others’ don’t hear, and empowering you to do what others’ cannot do. 

This would be possible by:

1. Loving the Father for who He is and not what you want from Him.
2. Having intimacy with Him, i.e. spending with Him in the Word, worship and prayers. Our Lord Jesus seems to spend time alone with the Father early at the crack of dawn and also all night. Daniel also did this and was as a result able to see, hear and do what others cannot. He spends at least three times praying daily.
3. Do this consistently. 
4. Receive gradual revelation. 

Another to note is that there would be reaction certainly to this as was to Jesus’. There would be those that would appreciate, and celebrate it and give glory to God; others would not understand it and demonize it; while some may be resistant until they come around over time.

3. Father give me insatiable hunger of intimacy for You
4. Father show me, speak to me, and empower me to do like You did to Your Son Jesus
