Application
Do you find yourself spending so much time daily consuming new information but no time to process them? You are not alone. We get bombarded everyday with new information and not knowing what to do with them. If you don't pay close attention, you may spend your entire life chasing the best new thing and not accomplishing anything.
Prophetic words and promises are not any different. If not properly processed you may find yourself being a storage for prophetic words, prophecies and promises, but few to no manifestations. Today, we will address another key and vital component for your promises and prophecies to come to pass. Surprisingly, the world has latched on to this and it works for them.
Meditate On Your Word
Apostle Paul charged Timothy to meditate on his prophetic word. This is another requirement for prophetic words to manifest. Although the practice of meditation has been hijacked by the new age movement, especially those that aspire to become their own "god", nonetheless, meditation is a valid exercise required of every Christian.
For example, God commanded Joshua to meditate on the book of the law day and night to ensure or secure his success. Josh 1:8. Meditation is sort of the level where digestion of the word given takes place. It moves the prophetic word or promise from head knowledge into the mind and heart. It starts to bond with the body of the individual just like when a powerful adhesive substance is applied to glue some materials together.
Meditation convinces the heart and mind of the possibility of what was spoken. It opens the mind into the realm of possibilities of how, when and what. We saw that another person that engaged in meditation was Isaac. Gen 24:63 " And Isaac went out to meditate in the field in the evening".
So, to ensure your prophetic word happens, do not neglect them but meditate on them. Don't just be consuming information. Meditate on them.
