Scriptures
Ecclesiastes 9:11 "...It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time."
Application
How is that business plan you had for 2021 going? Did you execute it? Were you able to accomplish it? If that is the case congratulations. You probably don't need to read this. But, perhaps you have a friend of a friend who could use this, then you should continue reading.
I know so many things happened this year to throw many plans off. However, for you, that is not an excuse. Companies that succeeded this year were also subjected to the same harsh condition. Did you remember how you planned to do it last year and you postponed it to this year? What is the guarantee that the environment for next year would be more favorable than this year? Were you waiting for everything to be perfect? You will never find a perfect time. Never!
|Faith Leaps First!
Do you use language like look before you leap? Faith says leap first and leave the consequences to God. Yeah, you might be bruised up but the courage from that experience is better than a thousand intentions.
|Take The Risk!
To succeed you have to take a risk. Take the chance. You have to step out even when it is still imperfect. I am one of the folks who always want things to be perfect and in order before launching. However, I have since changed my approach. I quickly discovered that to walk with God, He would require us oftentimes to launch even before you have all the details.
|Time Is Running Out!
Another reason why you need to launch now is because time would eventually run out on you if you don't do it. The bible says there is time for everything. Let me put it this way. Imagine having an inventory of winter clothes that you want to sell, but you were busy putting so much finishing touches that you were now finally ready in the summer. What is the possibility that folks would be buying heavy jackets from you in 100 degree weather? Too late! Did you get it?
| Don't Be Kodak
Perhaps the painful one is when you see other people successfully executing the same idea you were still busy neck-deep in preparations? Did you know that Kodak, the photo company, actually invented the digital camera in the 1970s? But, they figured that no one would use it. The world won't leave paper photos for digital cameras. Wow. Were they wrong! Kodak has since filed for bankruptcy, bought by another company.
|Do it Now!
Still confused, let me give you another boost. No successful company launches because everything is perfect. That is why technology companies continue to release patches and software updates. Let me leave you with this quote from Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook as your action point. "Don't wait. Move fast and break things. Put the product out now. Imperfect is Perfect!"
