VIP: Invitation To An Exclusive Group

Mark 9:23.  “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible.”

 

Application

There are some exclusive groups in the world. The more exclusive it is, the more desirable. Highly exclusive groups are the envy of people. I remembered when President Barack Obama was elected as the president of the United States. The news anchor while commenting said he now belongs to one of the most exclusive groups in the world. Only a few people can ever be president of the United States.

However, as exclusive as this is, it is not the most exclusive in the world. The most exclusive group in the world belongs to two categories of beings or people. They are more powerful than anyone or anything ever made. They are more powerful than even the presidents of the United States or any nation on earth. They are those who nothing is impossible to do. NOTHING.

Let me say that I first heard of this concept from the pastor of my church. However, I have modified and expanded on it based on my personal understanding.

 

 

The folk in the first category is the Almighty God. Nothing is impossible for the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The bible tells us in Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible.” This means in the realm where God operates everything is always possible. He is omnipotent. He is All-Powerful. In any direction or over anything, His power would always overwhelm the situation.

The folks in the category group are those who believe. Mark 9:23.  “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” Those who believe in God and act correspondingly to their belief would always do the impossible. Nothing is ever impossible in their world.

Have you noticed that we envy or applaud those who do what we believe is impossible? They believed it was possible and went for it. David was someone like that. Everyone saw Goliath as impossible, but he saw it as easy pickings and defeated him.

Just a quick reminder. When you do the common, your reward is common. You may not even be recognized, but when you do the impossible your reward is incredible. Ask David who killed Goliath. The bigger the problem you solve, the bigger your reward.

Do you know you can be part of the exclusive group of those who do the impossible? Those that are applauded? Those who get bigger rewards? Those to whom impossibility is nothing? In fact, God wants to bring you into that group. 

 

 

 To get into that group is very simple. Start believing and behaving what you believe. Want to shore up your belief? Spend more time reading the Bible and shut out negative news.

So, today, step up to that group where impossibility is nothing. God is waiting to back you up.

1. Thank you Father for these truths.
2. Father, I believe nothing is impossible for me. Help me to act on it.
