Wealth Secret - Time & Chance -1

Wealth Secret - Time & Chance -1

Scriptures

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. Ecclesiastes 9:11 NLT

Application

Do you want to become stupendously rich? Then read on.

First, have you ever wondered why some folks that you are smarter than are richer than you? They probably did badly in school. You probably have more college degrees than they do. It's even possible that you are the one who taught what has brought them riches. On the contrary, you remain in the same spot that you were and barely moved forward. How do you feel about that?

Now, the reason you remain where you are is the same reason professors of finance and the majority of financial advisors are poor while their students or clients have become outrageously successful.

Skills Doesn’t Equal Wealth

According to our principal scripture today, "...the skillful are not necessarily wealthy." That's the camp you are currently in. Is it saying we shouldn't be skillful? No. You need to be skillful. However, don't just depend on your skills to make you prosperous. There is another very important element you need to make your friend without, which you will never become financially prosperous. They are "Time & Chance."

Obama Vs Clinton

One of the examples that I loved to give regarding time and chance is that of the young and freshman Senator Barack Obama from Illinois. He was barely elected into the U.S Senate and had not finished his first term. However, when the opportunity presented itself, he ran in the Democratic Primary against the well established political dynasty of Hilary Clinton. This was against all conventional wisdom. Many people advised him to wait his turn but he refused.

As you know, Barack Obama eventually became the President of the United States of America and served two terms against all odds. Of course, you know I have oversimplified the process he went through in this write up. The failures, betrayals, missteps, mistakes, forced errors. The big lesson was that he rose to the occasion. No one, not even Obama himself knew how it was going to turn out but he won.

Do You Want To Be Prosperous Now

Do you want to be prosperous now? Start making use of every chance and opportunity that comes your way. I guarantee you that you will greatly increase your odds for financial success and one of them would be the home run, a major financial breakthrough of a lifetime!

Prayer Points.

  1. Father, thank you for these words.
  2. Lord help me to take advantage of opportunities that come my way in Jesus name
