When The Situation Gets Worse

When The Situation Gets Worse

Scriptures
22 Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? 23 Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!” Exodus 5:22-23.

Application

These scriptures tell us what happened when Moses tried to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt. The situation only got worse. It tells us that the road to deliverance from a long time oppression from the devil might not be a walk in the park.

Even though the Lord had promised deliverance to the children of Israel, sending Moses, the situation only got worse. The noose around their necks was tightened. The oppressor made life intolerable for them. The little relief they had with the taskmasters providing them with straws to make bricks was now taken away. In fact, it appears as if the Lord was powerless to help them.  The euphoria that followed the people upon seeing Moses and Aaron.

Sometimes, it also happens in our lives. We might step into a situation attempting to help someone and it only gets worse. Also, sometimes, when God wants to deliver us from situations it gets worse.

Do you remember when Jesus wanted to deliver the boy that had epilepsy who was also demonically possessed?  (Luke 9:40-44). The demonic spirit threw him on the ground and he appeared dead after Jesus commanded it to come out. But He picked the boy up alive.

So, what do we do when situations get worse instead of alleviating? We continue to hold on to our faith. We continue to believe the Lord that His word would come to pass. We continue to pray without ceasing. That was what Moses did. He continued to go back to the Lord who continued to answer him.

Prayer Points

  1. Father, thank you for this word.
  2. Lord help me to continue to trust you and pray without ceasing in Jesus name.
  3. Lord deliver me now.

Note. If this writing has blessed you, would you consider sharing it with a friend, colleague or family? Thank you.

Thanks so much sir for shedding more light on this part of our lives. ‘’sometimes, when God wants to deliver us from situations it gets worse.’’ it could be depressing, discouraging. sometimes one feel like giving up when the situation [mountain] seems not to be moved instead it gets worse. But in continuing going back to GOD in prayers and believing on his word, knowing that His word is yes and Amen gives us HOPE that our God is able to deliver… More grace Sir
