Scriptures
Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”Matt 12:37 MSG.
Application
Do you find your life in a very negative direction continuously regardless of your efforts and prayers. The answer could be in something that you least expect. It could be because of your negative words. Wait till you read how powerful words are.
While our Lord Jesus was in deep agony and His breath was slipping away on the cross, He said, "It is finished." John 19:30. Noticed that our Lord didn't say "I am finished." It is His task that is finished and not him.
Let me ask you. How many times have you spoken negative words about yourself or situation? How many times have you said, "I'm finished?"
When we find ourselves in painful situations or circumstances, often our choice of words are prayer canceling and covenant sabotaging words. In the heat of the moment, some of us are overtaken by emotions and begin to let our emotions be a tool of the devil to lay foundations, plant seeds and create negative chains of events that often come back to haunt us.
Someone said words are our addresses in the spirit realm. Every word is traced back to the speaker for fulfillment. Our Lord said in our principal scripture for today that our words determine whether we are justified or condemned. That means our words determine whether we make it or not, and not our situations.
Do you need further proof? What Pharaoh and all his armies couldn't accomplish - destruction of the children of Israel, their words did. They carelessly said that they won't make it to the promised land, and two million perished completely in the wilderness.
Don't cooperate with the devil to bring you down. Watch your words. Start saying the words that would influence all situations and circumstances in your favor today.
Prayer Points
- Lord thank you for these revelations.
- Lord help me to say Your Word concerning my situations in Jesus name.
